Feast of Tabernacles Meditation

We are just coming off of the Feast of Tabernacles which was a great chance to fellowship with family and friends as well as self examine ourselves as we continue our walk with God.

The Feast of Tabernacles was established by the Most High for us to remember the events of our forefathers during their journeyings from Egypt to the promised land. It was a time contrasting of great success aswell as judgement.

One judgement we can read is found in Numbers the 15th chapter; where a man was found gathering sticks upon the Sabbath day. As a result of this man's rebellion the law of wearing fringes was implemented to remind us to keep God's laws in our minds.

It is a story which teaches us how beset we can become in our own agendas and not have God's laws in the forefront of our minds as we ought to.

That being said we must glorify the Lord for giving us the tools to overcome our sins and time to practice applying the laws with our people. We must strive for greater discernment in the midst our trials and temptations. Don't take your fringes lightly nor the feasts of the Lord as they are all there to teach to us be more Christ-like.
